Our salespeople are compensated individually and without any earnings cap. They are also compensated as teams, so there are intense personal and peer pressures to achieve a high level of performance. In addition qualified employees are able to earn a position of ownership in their divisions in return for their dedication and hard work (“sweat equity”). Eighteen of us are now shareholders in our Divisions. In addition, all SJ employees can receive extra income based on the financial performance of their Divisions.
CAREER The average tenure for an SJ salesperson is nearly ten years. This stability naturally leads to the building of strong relationships with the employees of customers and distributors. Over time, as these people naturally move up into senior management positions at their companies, our long-standing relationships allow us to accomplish more for our principals.

INVESTMENT We equip each salesperson with pentium notebooks, portable digital assistants, cell phones, email and voicemail. Each salesperson is set up with a complete home office including standalone fax machines. Our newly-developed SJAMS proprietary software gives our salespeople a giant edge in managing the complexities of multi-line, multi-component selling. And our investment in support services increases our salespeoples' productivity.
